We are seeking an experienced Expressive Art Therapist to provide art therapy and counselling to children 8-18 years old, and their families. Bridging the Gap is located in St Marys. Our services are well regarded and in high demand.
This role works in within a multi-disciplinary team providing counselling to children and young people 8-18 years old, and their families, who typically present with anxiety, depression, relationship & family conflicts.
You can make a difference in the lives of young people with mental health and family and relationship issues.
Interventions can be up to 6 months allowing time for healing and growth.

What we need from you:
- A passion to make a difference in young people’s lives
- Experience providing expressive art therapy to young people aged 8 – 18 years, and their families
- Available at least 2 days per week, including one evening to 7.30pm
- A commitment to Bridging the Gap’s Vision and Values
Criteria:
- Masters degree in Art Therapy.
- Completed at least 750 hours of supervised clinical placement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional membership with ANZACATA.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable with technology – Client Management Systems, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Can demonstrate a value for Christian faith community
- Successful candidates will need to provide current (i) Working with Children Check (ii) Police Check and (iii) Current NDIS worker clearance
